
What You'll Need:

Fondant: white, brown (medium and light), red
Color Mixing:
- Mix 2 parts brown with 1 part white for medium brown
- Mix 1 part brown with 1 part white for light brown

Step 1: Prepare Your Fondant Glue
Make Glue: Fold a paper towel, wet lightly, and wring out.
- Set Up: Have your knife and toothpicks ready.
- Prevent Sticking: Dust workspace and fondant with powdered sugar or cornstarch if needed.
Step 2: Create the Eyes
Eye Whites: Roll two 0.75” white fondant balls and flatten into ovals.
- Iris: Roll two 0.25” light brown fondant balls, flatten into discs.
- Pupils: Roll one 0.25” medium brown fondant ball, cut in half, and flatten.
- Assemble Eyes: Glue brown discs to white ovals, add medium brown discs for pupils, and place white highlights.
- Attach Eyes: Position on upper half of cookie using glue. Add medium brown fondant strips for lashes or eyelids.
Step 3: Shape the Muzzle
Muzzle Base: Roll a 1” light brown fondant ball, flatten to 1.5” diameter.
- Mouth Lines: Use toothpick or knife to create mouth lines.
- Nose: Roll a 0.25” medium brown fondant ball, pinch into a triangle.
- Assemble Muzzle: Glue nose to muzzle, then attach muzzle to lower half of cookie.
Step 4: Add the Ears
Outer Ears: Roll a 1” medium brown fondant ball, flatten to 1.25”, cut in half.
- Inner Ears: Roll a 0.5” light brown fondant ball, flatten, and cut in half.
- Assemble Ears: Indent outer ears slightly, glue inner ears inside using glue.
- Attach Ears: Place on top of the cookie with glue.
Step 5: Add the Bow
Bow Base: Roll a 3.75” x 0.5” red fondant strip.
- Form Bow: Wet center, fold sides to center, pinch to create bow shape.
- Add Bow Tie: Wrap a scrap red strip around the center.
- Attach Bow: Glue to ear or under muzzle.
Step 6: Final Touches
Adjustments: Trim and secure all parts as needed.
